International calling has made it easier than ever to stay in touch with friends and relatives around the world - even in the middle of the night...
... But others making long-distance phone calls may not be as savvy about the time change, so Krivenyshev invented a Web site, WorldTimeZone.com, that displays the current time in more than 30,000 cities worldwide...
"I've had people say, 'Thanks to your Web site, I didn't wake up somebody in the middle of the night in Australia,'" he said. "I feel like part of a global community."
An oceanographer and meteorologist, Krivenyshev, is no stranger to exotic and far away places. Before moving to Hudson County in 1998, the scientist participated in expeditions to exotic locales, from the Alaska to Antarctica, the Bering Sea to the Panama Canal...
