Jordan will switch to winter time on Friday, October 27, according to the decision issued by the cabinet last June.
Director of Planning and Media Spokesperson at the Energy Ministry Mahmoud Al Ais denied that the government intends to change date of switching to winter time due to the holy month of Ramadan.
He said that the power saving as a result of the summer timing in 2006 would amount to JD6 million.
